Arise, oh exquisite morning,
Like none to be believed,
Dawn breaking over mountain tips,
The morning star still seen.
Birds arise and greet the day,
As dew and grass embrace.
But alas,
I must retire now,
And return to thoughts of you.
A night remembered,
Yet forever lost,
Dollars spent,
Lines were crossed.
The chaos of another day,
Brings hope and woe anew,
Yet all that I can seem to do is think of you.
Silhouettes against morning sky,
When life is not yet warm,
Yet I idle here;
Watching water bead on lawn.
